Welcome to FORCE VOLLEYBALL CLUB at Plano Sports

Our Coaching Team are in the process of scheduling their clinics that will be held at PSA StarCenter and at PSA2. These clinics are a great way for recreation players to get more practice or for elite high school players to get more practice in a game like setting or to finely tune some aspect of their game. In Spring 2010, we started looking for some new facilities for club practices for the 2010-11 Season. Early August we came to an agreement with Plano Sports Authority to not just have courts to rent, but to have a HOME. Our players will have the opportunity to practice and call home the nicest facilities in the Region. We have access to 23 comfortably air-conditioned volleyball courts, meeting rooms, classrooms, plentiful parking, and water fountains. The nets come down from the ceiling making setting up for practice very simple. There is also a large snack bar area to accommodate those who need a place to wait during practices. The facility has WiFi for those who want to be on-line during any down time.

Forrest is a full time employee of Plano Sports and will office at their main facility. The club name, coaching team, level of organization and responsiveness, and most importantly philosophy will remain the same for the FORCE program. Our players will have access to other benefits as well. We have more and better equipment and more space and time for agility training. We have access to coaching and courts for more summer programs and more complementary programs throughout the season. It will be easier to have our College Nights and Team Meetings.

Virtually all of our coaches are returning and we have hired at least four more coaches who are very welcome additions to our Coaching Team. We are currently working on assigning these coaches to teams. Those announcements are forthcoming.

Power League is a program intended to bridge the recreation program to club volleyball. We offer skill-based teams for 5th-8th grades. We held tryouts Saturday Aug 21 and filled most of the spots. We have 4-5 spots left. Any players interested in trying out for one of these remaining spots should have their parents E-Mail Forrest or call him at 214/505-8255 to arrange a time to try out.

These teams will be assigned a FORCE Coach and will have one two-hour practice each week at PSA1 and will play in competitive matches against other Power League Teams on Saturdays at PSA1. These teams will be organized into three divisions for play. For more information, download the Information Flyer. Skills Classes are designed for the participants in the PSA Recreation League to get more instruction from our Club Coaches. The classes run for the 7-week duration of the Power League. We are in the process of assigning the coaches to their teams. We will post these assignments under Staff at the top of the page or Click Here.

NOTE: We plan to offer 2-3 teams at 12-under age group, 2-3 teams at 13-under age group, 2-3 teams at 14-under age group, 2 teams at 15-under age group, 1-2 teams at 16-under age group, and 1 team at either 17 or 18-under age group.
