Aimee Dewitte - 5th year with the program

Aimee began her volleyball career at St. Charles High School in Illinois. She played four years as starting middle/outside hitter.  Throughout her high school career she played club volleyball with POV & Sports Performance. During this time she received multiple awards on her way to receiving a scholarship to play for Northern Michigan University.  As a freshman, Aimee worked her way into a starting role as an outside hitter/middle blocker.  As a junior she received All-Conference/All-Region and All-American honors along with multiple league awards.  Aimee was offered a position on the USA Athletes International Team to compete in Germany/Holland.  Her outstanding play continued her senior year where she repeated as an All Conference, All-Region and All-American recipient.  Aimee was able to pass on some of her expertise when she accepted her first coaching position at Marquette Area Public Schools for two seasons as the JV Volleyball Head Coach/ Varsity Volleyball Assistant Coach.  Aimee graduated from NMU with a degree in Criminal Justice and Social Welfare.  She began coaching the 16 travel team and 17 travel team for Dallas Force Volleyball Club.  Aimee’s career is a result of hard work and dedication to her sport.  Aimee has a very intense coaching & training mentality that ensures results at all levels.

 

Bruce Lambdin - 6th year with the program

Bruce is a fun and experienced coach. He has been coaching volleyball for the past 15 years. For seven years, he was the a founding member and Assistant Director of West Texas Juniors in the Sun Country Region. The past eight years, he has been with Plano Sports Association.

Bruce has coached all all age levels. His 17's team qualified for Junior National Championships while at Team PSA. Bruce is CAP I Certified.

Bruce believes that hard work and determination can get you anywhere. He emphasizes the fundamentals and encourages players to challenge themselves in theiur athletic as well as academic careers.

Bruce and his wife enjoy riding motorcycles and are involved in greyhound rescue programs. He has three daughters: Kaitlyn (14), Ashley (11) and M'Leah (8).

Christine Gregory - 8th year with the program

Christine has been the Head Coach of the Newman Smith Lady Trojans for eleven years. In 1998, she was elected as the Texas Girls' Coaches Association All Star Coach. Christine has coached volleyball at all levels including college, high school, and club. She graduated from DeQuen High School in DeQuen, Arkansas and attended Southern Arkansas University and University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where she received a B.S. in Biological Science and Masters in Kinesiology. While in college, Christine played basketball at Southern Arkansas (2 years) and lettered in Track & Field at University of Arkansas at Fayetteville (2 years). She has coached volleyball for twenty years including two years at Southern Arkansas University, sixteen years at the high school level, nine years at the club level. Christine is also the Girl's Athletic Coordinator at Newman-Smith High School.

Dan Turner - 7th year with the program

Dan has been coaching young ladies now for fourteen years.  He has been with Dallas Force Volleyball Club for the last six years, working with 13’s, 14’s, 15’s and 16’s.  He is currently the head volleyball coach of Texoma Christian School, holding that position these past two years.  His teams have made it to the State semi-finals both years compiling an overall record of 45-17. 

Many of his players have received a variety of awards including selection to the All-Texomaland team.  In addition, a number of players have been the recipients of scholarships on the D-I, D-II, and NAIA level. Dan’s coaching style emphasizes three elements – learning the fundamentals of the game; developing a player’s self-confidence; and, having fun playing the game.  He has worked a variety of camps for all ages focusing on the skills necessary to play the game and excel in specific positions.  Dan is CAP II Certified as a coach with USA Volleyball.

Recipient of the “Most Outstanding Athlete” award in high school and their first four-sport lettermen, Dan began playing volleyball as a teenager, on the sand courts of California. After college and a stint of semi-pro softball, Dan was re-introduced to the sport of volleyball by his friend Bill Hamiter, current USA Olympic Volleyball Men’s Sitting Team coach.  Bill taught Dan the fundamental skills and key strategies of the game.  These remain the foundational components of Dan’s coaching today. 

 

Dani Silva - 1st year with the program

Dani attended Marcus High School where she lettered in Volleyball for three years. She played volleyball for six years and four of those years were with Dallas Force. During her Dallas Force career her team qualified for Junior National Championships three times. She played middle and right side for both school and club. Dani was unable to to play in college due to a shoulder injury. She began coaching club volleyball, working with 13's, 14's and 15's. She won Coach of the Year with a record of 76-40. This will be her fifth season coaching club volleyball.

Erin Carlisle - 1st year with the program

Erin is an exciting addition to our coaching team. She played Division I volleyball on full scholarship at The University of Tulsa. She is currently the Varsity Assistant Coach at Frisco Centennial High School. She is the former Head Coach at Garland High School and has also been the Varsity Assistant at Greenhill School. This will be her fifth season to coach club volleyball.

In the summers, she manages and runs the nationally-known Nike Volleyball Camp. This will be the ninth year the camp will be held in the Motroplex under her direction.

Gina Kalb - 2nd year with the program

Gina is an alumni from University of Texas at Arlington. She originally hails from Iowa where her team won a State Championship. She led the Iowa 4A class with 401 kills as a senior, averaging 4.65 per game, was fifth in attack percentage, hitting .369 and seventh in digs per game (2.85). She was All-State team member.

She was invited to and attended 2002 and 2003 Summer USA National Volleyball Camps (Kalamazoo, MI). She was also invited to and attended 2003 Winter USA National Volleyball Camp (Austin, TX).

She now teaches science in Lewisville ISD and coaches high school volleyball. This is her third season to coach club volleyball.

 

Heather Van Noy - 1st year with the program

Heather attended Ayala High School in Southern California where she lettered two years as an outside hitter/right side.  She was recruited as a setter to Texas Woman’s University where she received a full scholarship.  Heather then graduated with a degree in History and Government.  She then went on to receive her Master’s in Education at TWU as well. 

While in college, Heather coached club volleyball for three years. She has been coaching volleyball at Denton Guyer since 2005. She is currently the Varsity Assistant coach. In 2007, the Wildcats went 35-8 and were District 5-4A Champions and Regional Quarter Finalists. The next year the Wildcats repeated as District Champions, were Area Finalists and finished with a 27-15 record.  Heather is also the proud mother to twin one-year old boys, Jaxson and Cason.

Jennifer Bramlett - 3rd year with the program

Jennifer attended El Paso Montwood High School, where she lettered two years as a middle blocker. She moved to Weatherford her senior year and graduated from Weatherford High. She received a full scholarship to play volleyball at Tarleton State University in Stephenville. Jennifer graduated from Tarleton with a degree in biology and went on to do graduate work at Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, Missouri. While in Missouri she coached junior high volleyball at Study Middle School. Jennifer moved back to Texas and coached junior high volleyball at Peaster for a year before moving to Jacksboro, Texas to start the volleyball program for the Lady Tigers. Jennifer started the program as a jv in ‘03. The next year, ’04, the first as a varsity, they went 24-15 finished 2nd in district and were area finalist. The next year,’05, Jennifer moved to Denton and started Denton Guyer’s volleyball program. In the program's second year as a varsity the Wildcats went 29-11 and missed the playoffs by 1 game. In ’07 the Wildcats went 35-8 was District 5-4A Champions and Regional Quarter Finalist. Jennifer was named district 5-4A Coach of the Year and the Denton Record Chronicle Coach of the Year for the 2007 season. The next year the Wildcats repeated as District Champions were Area Finalist and finished with a 27-15 record. Jennifer was again named District 5-4A Coach of the Year. In Guyer’s 4 years as a school Jennifer has graduated 13 seniors 8 of whom are playing college volleyball on scholarship.

Julie Hinckley - 7th year with the program

Julie is an alumni from Arkansas Tech University where she completed a very fulfilling college volleyball career.  She works in Plano for PepsiCo as an Equipment Operations Supervisor.

Julie played college volleyball at Arkansas Tech University. For three of her years there, she was selected for the All Gulf South Conference Team. She was selected for the All-Tournament Teams Truman State, Emporia State, and Central Oklahoma. Julie ranks third in school history for kills in a game. Her team had an undefeated conference record for three straight years while wining 27 consecutive matches.

Julie coached club volleyball wile in college as well as working camps at Memphis, Arkansas Tech, and The Colony High School. She earned Dean's List honors three years. In 2010, Julie was honored to be selected to The Colony High School Hall of Fame.

Kim Medcalf - 11th year with the program

Kim has coached club volleyball for thirteen years. She had a gratifying college career at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).   She has coached for Outlaw Volleyball Club (Austin), Birmingham Volleyball Club (Alabama), and Victory Volleyball Club (Carrollton).

Kim is from Kalamazoo, Michigan where she played shortstop and pitched fast pitch softball, served as captain of the tennis team, and played middle blocker in volleyball. She won all-conference awards in all three sports her sophomore, junior, and senior years. She played club volleyball for USA Kalamazoo Volleyball Club which placed third in the 1989 Nationals and was highly recruited to play college.

As a middle blocker, she was a four-year starter. Two times she made the all-conference team. She was the team captain three years. In 1994, she was the team's MVP. Kim’s hitting proficiency helped her setter, Tammy Robertson set the NCAA record of career assists with 6,650 in 1992. Kim finished her playing career with 841 kills and a .219 attack percentage. Kim still holds the Conference USA record for service aces in a match with 19 against Seton Hall.

Kim’s defensive skills were excellent as well. She had 240 total blocks and an astounding 912 digs. For the majority of her career, Kim was a primary passer when receiving serves.

Kim has been married to Forrest for fourteen years and works as Chief Accountant for Hill & Wilkinson, a Dallas-based construction company. They had their first child, Allison, August 28, 2008. Kim is an avid golfer. She enjoys playing and watching most sports, but especially baseball. She and Forrest have been to baseball games in all thirty major league baseball parks and over fifty minor league parks in the US and Canada. 

Lee Tonga - 7th year with the program

Lee is an energetic, positive, and fun head coach with a lot of experience.  He has been around the volleyball community for over 30 years both as a player and coach.  He stresses volleyball fundamentals, as well as encouraging players to play out side their comfort level and think out side the box. Lee has had much success at all levels.

Lee has coached all levels of club volleyball for over twenty-three years. He is the founder and former director of Texas Heat Volleyball Club (established 1991) and is a USA Volleyball CAP Level II Coach. He has coached two volleyball All-Americans and has qualified five teams for USAV Junior Olympic Nationals including 1 U-18 winning 2005-2006 Lone Star Classic Club division and 1 U-18 taking 2 place finish in 1997 Lone Star Classic.

Lee played volleyball for over thirty-two years. He is the father of four:  Kalani, Sunny, Steven, and Westlee and stepfather of three:  Brittany, Michael, and Geoffry. He is the proud grandfather of Evie, Ilaias, Ellie, and Trey.

Michelle Murray - 11th year with the program

Michelle is a fun and knowledgeable coach who is a great student of the game.   She has accelerated her skills as a coach by coaching high school and club concurrently for five years. She coached at Dallas Force for eight years.  Michelle graduated from Ellison High School in Killeen, Texas where she lettered in Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, and Track. She was Team MVP two times each in Volleyball, Basketball, and Track. She was All-District - First Team - Two Times Each in Volleyball, Basketball, and Track. Michelle played volleyball at Texas Women's University (1994-1997) where she was ranked 15th in Nation for kills and digs per game (1995). She was selected for the All-Region Team (1997), All-Conference - First Team (1995, 1996, and 1997), and the All-Academic Team (1995 and 1996). Michelle still holds four individual records at TWU for kills and digs per game and per season.

Sarah Ford - 3rd year with the program

In Central Minnesota Christian School, Sarah Ford was a four-year varsity starter in volleyball. Three of those years she was on the All-Area team, being recognized on the All-State Team her Senior year. Sarah totaled 1,309 career kills.  She also played varsity basketball.

Sarah played Volleyball at the University of Missouri (Division I) on full Scholarship.

Sarah played four years of Club Volleyball. Her junior year she played for Mosquito Coast Club and placed 27th at National 18’s Open Division. Her senior year, she played for Kaepa Northern Lights Volleyball Club placing 5th at National 18’s Open Division

Sarah has coached high school aged players as well. She was the JV/Assistant Varsity Coach at Helias High School in Jefferson City, Missouri.  She had a record of 22-1.

She was also the Freshman Head Coach and Varsity Assistant at Central Minnesota Christian School 1999-2000.  Varsity won State Championship Class A in 1999 & 2000.

Shannon Matsumoto - 7th year with the program

Shannon has coached many levels of athletics ranging from grade school to college. She swam at the national level in her home state of Florida. She began playing volleyball when her family moved to Atlanta.

In high school, Shannon was chosen to be a member of the US Junior National Volleyball Team, Southern Region. She played under the guidance of Coach Bob Westbrook. She was also the starting outside hitter on her high school volleyball team. As team captain, she led the team to two district championships and gained recognition as MVP and was selected to the All District team repeatedly. She was highly recruited to play Division I volleyball.

Shannon elected to attend Florida State University on a full athletic scholarship. At the age of 16, she was the youngest player to be awarded this honor. Under the direction of nationally known head coach Cecile Reynaud, the team garnished Top 20 poll honors two of Shannon's four years. Shannon earned all metro honors her freshman and junior years. Shannon was a 4-year letter athlete who started in both the middle and outside positions.

Throughout her time at FSU she coached volleyball during the off-season. Upon graduation, with a double major in Social Work and criminology, she assisted in coaching local high school volleyball in the Tallahassee area.

Terri Harrod - 11th year with the program

Terri is a very experienced volleyball coach who is also the Head Volleyball Coach at The Colony High School.  She had coached with Dallas Force for ten years.  She does a great job building confidence and knowledge in her players.  Terri graduated from Klein High School in Spring, Texas where she lettered in Volleyball, Basketball, and Track. In Volleyball, she was a setter and defensive specialist. She was recruited to play 1 Guard at Ranger Junior College. Terri transferred to Texas Women's University to play 1 Guard on the basketball team. She majored in Kinesiology and Special Education. Terri has coached at The Colony for sixteen years, the head volleyball coach for eleven of those years. Her hobbies are camping, hiking, and golf.

Todd Bramlett - 2nd year with the program

Todd graduated from Stephenville High School and went on to attend Tarleton State University. A career teacher and coach, he has coached all sports including volleyball at the middle school and high school level. He coached in Misssouri. In Texas, he has coached in Granbury, Stephenville, Perrin, Jacksboro, and currently at Guyer High School in Denton ISD.

He has coached girls for ten years and this is his second year to coach club volleyball.

Melissa Wallace - 4th year with the program

Melissa is from Lewisville. At Lewisville High, she was a three year letter winner as a middle blocker. She was second team all district her junior year first team all district her senior year. Melissa played four years of college volleyball at Arkansas Tech as a middle blocker. Her team was the Gulf South Conference West Division champions and they participated in the Gulf South Conference Tournament all four years she attended. She graduated with a B.S. in Management/Marketing. She is a Finance Manager for CitiCapital.

Danielle Kudlacek - 2nd year with the program

Danielle started playing volleyball at age eleven. She played middle school and high school volleyball in Allen. She played five years of club volleyball. Danielle played on the club volleyball team at Texas State for two seasons where she played OH and DS.

Danielle has officiated and was assistant coach for three years in the Allen Sports Association.

Melissa Alvis - 5th year with the program

Melissa attended Springtown High School where she lettered in Volleyball and Track.  This is her fourth year coaching club volleyball.  She received a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business at Keller Graduate School of Management.  She is a software engineer for an enterprise recording software company. 

Erin Baker - 2nd year with the program

Erin has recently returned home to the Metroplex after being in Mississippi for the past ten years. A graduate of Northwest High School she was a superior athlete as well as student.

She attended Ole Miss on full scholarship where she was All Tournament selection at University of Montana, Ole Miss and Central Florida. She was the Team Captain, and was named to the All SEC Good Works Team 2002 and All SEC Academic Honor roll in 2002. She still holds the Ole Miss school record for most total blocks (270) in a career (rally scoring).

Post college, she coached high school volleyball fr four years at Lafayette High School in Oxford, Mississippi. In 2007, she coached her team to the State Final Four and to the Regional Finals last year. She coached five State All-Star Athletes while at the school.

She has been married to her husband, Trevor for five years and has a daughter named Hannah.

 

Chad Scheckel - 1st year with the program

Chad has played competitive volleyball for 17 years and is an Iowa State graduate.  He played on the ISU Club Team for 4 years as an outside and middle hitter.  Since college, he has competed in the USAV Adult Nationals Tournament six times, both in the Men's and Coed divisions.  In 2009, his Reverse Coed team finished 3rd and in 2010, they finished 2nd in the National Tournament.  Chad works for HKS, Inc. as an Architect in the Sports & Entertainment Group.

Jolene Vinson - 7th year with the program

Jolene is an exciting addition to our coaching staff.  She has coached volleyball for seventeen years, ten of those at the Division I Western Illinois University.  With Dallas Force, she qualified one team for the USAV Junior Olympic Nationals. Jolene is currently the head volleyball coach at Prosper High School. She also coached high school volleyball two years in Iowa and two years in Arizona. Jolene is a USAV Cap II Accredited Coach and is an avid golfer.

John Bryn - 2nd year with the program

John has been an avid supporter of volleyball as a player and instructor of the game since being introduced to the sport as a senior in high school playing in small communities volleyball tournaments as fund raisers. His desire to become the complete player continued through college and now his focus is on using his knowledge developed over the years teaching the next generation to enjoy the game to it’s fullest.

John is an IMPACT and CAP I Certified Coach through USA Volleyball. He was the Director and coach for Grayson Juniors for seven years offering local athletes the opportunity to play club ball in a competitive and affordable atmosphere. John has organized and worked numerous volleyball camps and continues to attend coaching seminars to increase knowledge on teaching the game.

As a player, John helped develop the men’s volleyball club at the University of Texas Arlington. The team won the conference twice and John was chosen to the All Regional Team twic. John played for the Dallas YMCA as an Outside Hitter. He playing in an average of ten tournaments a year across the US. Winning Open Regional 4 times and participated in four Open National Tournaments and four Open National AAU Tournaments. He had the opportunity to be coached by former US Olympic coaches and play with former and present US Olympic players. He participated in all aspects of the game including beach and mixed.

Brian Christenson - 3rd year with the program

Brian has been actively playing and coaching volleyball for the last 20 years.    He was a member of the Men’s club team at Moorehead State University (Minnesota) where he played outside hitter.  Brian and his wife, Shari, actually met on the volleyball court.  He assisted Shari for two years at Collinsville (1A) where they were crowned State Champions in 2006.  Due to the birth of their daughter in the middle of that season, Brian actually took over as Head Coach for the last 3 weeks of the regular season.  If you happen to see Brian somewhere other than a volleyball court, he is probably doing his most important and favorite job… being a Dad to his three children. 

Shari Christenson - 3rd year with the program

Shari brings 12 years of high school coaching experience to our club.  In 4 years as the head coach at Collinsville High School (’03-’06), Shari compiled an overall record of 116-26 (with 14 of those losses coming in the first season).  She coached Collinsville to 3 District Championships, 2 Regional Championships, and 2 State Tournament appearances.  The highlight of Shari’s volleyball coaching career is leading Collinsville to its first ever 1A State Championship in 2006 with her husband, Brian, as the assistant coach. 

Shari was born and raised in South Dakota.  She went to Northern State University (Aberdeen, SD) on a combination athletic/academic scholarship and played right side for the Wolves.  Shari graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology Education.  She moved to Texas in the summer of 2001 with Brian as he pursued a career in landscape management.  When Shari isn’t coaching, she is spending time with her young children or playing/watching any type of competitive sport with Brian.
